Cushion Sewing

 I have been busy with some appliqueing.  These blocks will both turn into cushions.

 The photo below is of my Sister and Brother-in-Law (who died earlier this year) I'm in the process of making my sister a quilt using his old shirts. This t-shirt was a bit special as it's the last great photo of them and the photo was used at his funeral. As the t-shirt was quite plain, I chose not to cut it up but turn it into a cushion for my sister for her birthday.  It now sits pride of place on HIS chair in their lounge room.

More Thermomix Cooking

I'm still loving my Thermomix.
Recently a friend recommended omelettes in the Thermomix.
Had to give it a go and it was fantastic. Less mess and washing up too

A modern twist to the old Soap on a Rope

Don't you hate it when no-one wants to use the last of the soap. I just put them all in these little Face Washer bags and use them til the end.
These blue ones are for Hubby so he stops using my pretty soaps :)

Back to Business

Such a great feeling to get home and realise you don't have to work at home tonight :)
The kids were cooking dinner so I went to the sewing room to prepare some appliquéing.
I've prepared this Homespun Life is a Celebration block. This one is Monica Poole's "Love" block.
I'm going to turn this into a cushion cover.

Back to Stitching

Nice to get back to some stitching today and get another UFO completed. If only the stitching part.
